GD Computadores provides expert computer, repair service, technical assistance, and a variety of computer, accessories, adapters, and cables. The computer techs I have interacted with most often are Alvaro and Mauricio. They are extremely knowledgeable at resolving software problems and promptly resolving the issue without delay. You could compare GD Computadores to Best Buy’s Geek Squad in the US and Canada. However, there are two things missing from their Costa Rican business model: They will never ask you to pay for a membership to take advantage of their expertise or services, and They will not ask you to make an appointment or stand in line, just to get a minor software glitch fixed. They are an amazing group of professionals. Add GD. Computadores To your contact list now, before you have an emergency need. If you’re living in Playas del Coco and need reliable tech support for your home or business, I highly recommend GD Computadoras. As an expat living in El Coco, finding knowledgeable and dependable technology support can sometimes be a challenge, but GD Computadoras exceeded expectations. Their team helped dramatically improve the internet and networking setup in my home by ordering and installing a secondary router on my behalf to strengthen and extend the Wi-Fi signal throughout the house. The improvement in coverage and stability was immediate. They also assisted with syncing and configuring my security cameras and hub onto the network and made sure everything was properly integrated and functioning correctly. Beyond that, they were extremely helpful in working with CoopeGuanacaste to troubleshoot connectivity issues and even identified and corrected Ethernet wiring errors within the home that had been causing ongoing problems. What impressed me most was their troubleshooting ability and customer-focused approach. They don’t just install equipment and leave — they take the time to diagnose issues properly and ensure the customer has a solid long-term solution. The team is friendly, engaging, professional, and very patient, especially for expats trying to navigate home technology setups and local providers in Costa Rica. We've visited this store many times over the years. Always top notch service. Recently we visited to buy data, I forgot my wallet at the store.  They tracked me down through Facebook and I went down in the morning to pick it up. No money missing, all of my ID was there. 5+ STARS 🌟  to all. Thank you so much.  Best store in town! I wanted a particular electronic device, but I wanted to call ahead just in case. The gentleman that answered was polite and respectful and he took the time to go over his inventory and see if he had it. Not only was he honest about not having it, but he took a step further to let me know that he could help me order it if necessary. Have been shopping with GD for years (phone chips/printer ink/USB sticks etc). Always friendly, quick and always have what we need. Recently I had a lap top I use for work sieze... They were quick to provide very very reasonable solutions, and ensure I had a machine that was comparable to what I could get in Canada (both from a device standpoint and price) asap.
